Justin Smith

Justin Smith is an investor at Argo Ventures, where he is responsible for sourcing opportunities, evaluating potential investments, and executing transactions. Prior to Argo Ventures, Justin Smith was the Vice President of Investments at Tusk Ventures, where he made investments in Bird, Lemonade, Coinbase, Nexar, Care/of, FanDuel, and Lyric. Before joining Tusk Ventures, Justin was an investor at Providence Equity Partners, a $57 billion multi- strategy investment manager. During that time, Justin executed and oversaw approximately $400 million of investments in companies spanning a wide range of industries. Justin began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group at Jefferies where he facilitated over $5 billion in high yield and leveraged loan transactions for financial sponsors and corporate clients. Justin also held a position in the assurance and advisory practice of Ernst & Young and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas. Justin received a Master in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
