Shobhit was 15 when he dropped out of regular school to play tennis at State level. Injuries forced him to give it up but a few months later he was the youngest member of India’s 1st professional cycling team. He became the youngest Indian to qualify for the prestigious "Paris-Brest-Paris" held once every four years. Having several podium finishes to his name at a young age, Shobhit was gaining visibility as a prodigy in the sport. While his sporting career was taking off and he was doing well in his open school, there was still something that he had to do. In early 2012 he started an NGO, Half Glass Full, that aimed to encourage under-privileged children creative, out of the box thinkers. He was always frustrated by the lack of self-expression and drive in majority of his peers and generally in the youth of India and decided to work on it and co-founded Josh Talks.
