Luis Gobbo

Luis Gobbo has a Postdoctoral degree in Kinesiology from the State University of Londrina (UEL), a PhD in Sciences from the Nutrition in Public Health program at the Faculty of Public Health of the University of São Paulo, a Master in Physical Education from UEL, and also holds a full degree in Physical Education from UEL, and a bachelor's degree in Administrative Sciences (1997) and Accounting Sciences (1999) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. During his PhD, he carried out an internship with a scholarship at the Faculty of Human Motricity of the Technical University of Lisbon. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Physical Education at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) at Sao Paulo State University - UNESP, in Presidente Prudente campus. He also acted as department head, course coordinator, course and Physical Education department counselor, member of the ethics committee, member of the Permanent Research Commission (when he was vice-president) and of Teaching Commission of the FCT/UNESP, elected member of the FCT/UNESP congregation and appointed member of the Permanent Administration Committee of FCT/UNESP. He coordinates the Musculoskeletal System Assessment Laboratory (LABSIM), in partnership with Brazilian, American, Italian and Portuguese institutions. He has book chapters and scientific articles published in journals indexed in the NCBI database (PUBMED). He coordinates and has coordinated research and community projects at UNESP. He has raised funds for research projects and technical visits with funding agencies. He is a member of the International Society for Electrical Bio-impedance, the International Society of Global Health, and the Brazilian Society of Physical Activity and Health. He is the founder and partner of React Med, a company in the health sector in Brazil.
