Dan Guo

Dan Guo is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at XSeed Capital with over 10 years of experience in internet engineering and product management. Dan was a founding member and Senior Director of Engineering of Baidu.com (NASDAQ: BIDU), the world’s largest Chinese search engine company. Dan developed the first generation of Baidu’s search system and online advertising platform, which now generate more than $1B of revenue per year. In his role at Baidu, Dan was head of Research & Development, Product Marketing, Quality Assurance and other groups with over 1,500 engineers. Dan and his team developed a series of successful products, including news search, search community, and knowledge search, which secured Baidu’s leading position in China’s internet market by dominating more than 70% of the share in the search market.
