Duncan Turner

At SOSV, I invest exclusively in start-ups that combine digital and physical technologies to solve business needs or create new consumer experiences. I mostly focus on automation technology for industry, planetary health and human health. I use my diverse background of human factors, design, engineering and GTM to help start-ups scale. Having now invested in 100+ start-ups at SOSV, I have a particular view of the increasingly important role hardware will play in digitising the world. I have in-depth domain knowledge throughout the product creation lifecycle having taken over 30 products to market through start-ups I have co-founded (I have learned from failure). During my time at IDEO, I led product-strategy projects for fortune 500 companies. While I consider myself an ex-designer, my work has won multiple design awards and even featured in the permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York.
