Kirby Ong

Kirby has a deep passion for several subjects such as global & macro markets, investing and trading, crypto, learning and building passionate communities. Kirby is an advocate for decentralized and open finance, having worked in Community and Growth on projects built on Ethereum, Solana, Algorand and other layer 1 blockchains, including: Raydium, Euler, SupraOracles, Aleph Zero, Scaleswap, and many others. Kirby started his career with British financial market leader Standard Charted Bank in their tax and compliance departments, before moving into the fin-tech industry to assist with regulations around international banking. Since then, he has had 5 years of professional experiences in business strategy and community building. He firmly believes that community building is one of the most foundational aspects of any project. Since then, Kirby has worked with over 60 cryptocurrency projects, such as Fantom, Celer Network, and Energi. Projects Kirby have worked alongside with have raised over USD 800 million collectively. Kirby was also the Head of Community/Business Analyst at a Singaporean VC and a Community and Growth Manager at hype.partners, a full-service community development agency for blockchain companies. He holds a Bach. of Commerce (Management) with an Inter-discipline in Marketing from the University of Adelaide. A global citizen, he has lived in Taiwan, Cambodia, Philippines, and currently is based in Singapore.
