Based out of Los Angeles, CA, Christopher Yang works as the Vice President of Engineering at Corporate Travel Management. In his current role, he is responsible for 50 highly-skilled technical staff members. In addition to managing a team, he is involved with technology both internally and externally to develop, maintain, and enhance products. Along with his achievements in his carrer, Christopher Yang is also the man behind 5 different patents: Method and System for Transferring User Settings to Another User Receiving Device Using a User Device (US10063924, Issued August 28, 2018); Systems and Methods for Triggering User Interfaces for Product and/or Service Transactions via Using Receiving Devices and Mobile Devices (US10051340, Issued August 14, 2018); Methods for Determining Localized Outages and Distributed Signal Verification of Set-top Boxes (US9769471, Issued September 19, 2017); Systems and Methods for Controlling Purchasing and/or Reauthorization to Access Content Using Quick Response Code and Text Messages (US9693083, Issued June 27, 2017); Systems and Methods for Immersive Viewing Experience (US9271048, Issued February 23, 2016). Christopher attended the University of Southern California where he received four degrees; MBA, Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Master of Science in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. In addition to his role as Vice President of Engineering, Christopher Yang devotes time to be a Part-Time Instructor in the Department of Engineering and Technology at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA Extension). As a lover of education, Chris aims to educate future generations in the importance of leadership, technology, and project management. He has played a vital role in the development of UCLA Extension’s first agile project management certificate program. Along with teaching, Christopher Yang loves passing on his expertise and knowledge as a keynote speaker. He loves the opportunity to help train and inspire the future generation of leaders on technology and project management.
