Edgar Chiu

Edgar Chiu is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of SparkLabs Taipei, a Venture Capital with accelerator arm to help local entrepreneurs go international. The mentorship-driven program targets startups in IoT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, VR/AR, mobile application, fintech, e-commerce, digital healthcare, cybersecurity, industrial automation, and other verticals. He was previously the COO of Gogolook, developing partnerships in Japan, Korea, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia for the Whoscall app, a global caller ID service. Gogolook was subsequently acquired by Naver, South Korean Internet giant in 2013. Prior to Gogolook, Edgar was a Consultant in IBM Strategy and Transformation Practice, where he delivered management consultancy services for top executives. He focuses on entrepreneurship, new business development, and global growth strategy. He previously served as a Business Planner for HP Global Procurement Services. Edgar is also the Co-founder of Jumpstart Global, a talent acceleration program, cultivating over 200 entrepreneurial leaders for high growth organizations.
