Richard built successful technology businesses throughout his career as an investor, operator and entrepreneur. He is a founder and General Partner of Mt. Weather Capital, where he constructed a portfolio of several successful companies. Richard served as a General Partner of RedShift Ventures, an early stage technology venture capital firm, and produced multiple successful exits including Cronos Integrated Microsystems (acquired by JDS Uniphase, NASDAQ: JDSU), MDLinx (acquired by a division of Sony, NYSE: SNE), Intelliworks (acquired by a division of Daily Mail, LON: DMGT), Woodwind Communications (acquired by Vina Technologies), and Telarix (acquired by Brown Brothers Harriman). Richard continues to serve as a board member or advisor to several technology companies and is a member of the investment committee for a family office focused on clean energy investments. He received an MBA and JD from the University of Maryland, and a BA in Economics from Denison University.
