Kristen Ding has been with Idealab since February 1998, serving as our Vice President of Design. She first joined the Idealab family in 1995 as part of the founding team at CitySearch. Prior to that, Kristen served as Senior Art Director at AND Interactive Communications, designing prototypes for interactive television. She received her B.A. with a double major in Psychology and Design from Stanford University and her B.F.A. in Graphic Design and Packaging (with an emphasis in Interactive Multimedia) from Art Center College of Design. Kristen has been mentoring startups in the Launchpad LA accelerator program since 2012, and her work has been featured in ID, Communication Arts and HOW design magazines. Kristen enjoys partnering with entrepreneurs and adding value to their companies through design. Her team works on Idealab's early-stage product ideas as well as with later-stage companies in all areas of user experience, visual communication, and branding. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys modern architecture, photography, and travel to places near and far with friends and family.
