Eric Gertler is currently the Executive Chairman of U.S. News & World Report. Eric has over 15 years of experience in leading executive positions in media, publishing, and internet companies, including his time as President of U.S. News & World Report, Fast Company, and Atlantic Monthly. He is also the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Privista, an identity theft protection and personal credit management company, which was sold to, and integrated with, the consumer direct group Equifax (NYSE: EFX). He authored the book “Prying Eyes: Protect Your Privacy From People Who Sell to You, Snoop on You, and Steal from You,” (Random House 2004), frequently appearing on network television to discuss identity theft, privacy, and internet marketing. Eric is a graduate of Brown University and the Institut D'Etudes Politiques, Paris, France, and has law degrees from American University (where he served as Editor-in-Chief of The Law Review) and La Sorbonne, Universite de Paris. He is a member of the board of the New York Metro chapter of Young Presidents Organization (“YPO”).
