Tony Ward is an experienced sales and marketing leader who was appointed MD ANZ of SurveyMonkey in November 2014. His role there involves building the team and the Asia Pacific business for the world's leading provider of web-based survey solutions, enabling organisation to make better decisions, faster. Prior to Survey Monkey, Tony ran the ANZ sales organisation for LinkedIn’s Talent Solutions. He was part of a team, which helped propel Australia to become LinkedIn’s third largest global market, with triple digit year-on-year growth, and world class Net Promoter score for customer satisfaction. Before that he spent over a decade in sales and marketing at Microsoft Australia & New Zealand. Appointed Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer in 2008 with full responsibility for a billion-dollar business. While there he directed Microsoft’s strategic roadmap, achieving critical milestones and financial goals. Tony also founded a cloud start up, to help small businesses with their IT requirements with a best of bread SasS platform including Microsoft Office 365 and 24/7 support. Tony has been recognised for culture, leadership and results throughout his career. He was one of only four Asia-Pacific recipients of the Reed Hoffman Award for Culture at LinkedIn. He’s also one of Australia’s LinkedIn Power Profiles for 2015, an award that showcases of the most viewed professionals. He volunteers to support the global Room to Read literacy initiative, and is a mentor at The Marketing Academy. Originally from Canada, where he was a four-time Canadian cycling champion, Tony has degrees from the University of Manitoba and the University of Auckland, where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce, Management Science and Information Systems; MSIS.
