Mathew is a Managing Director of Kepler Capital and a Principal at Diamond Willow Advisory. Before that, he led Lynx’s Calgary office, and was responsible for sourcing and executing acquisitions in Western Canada and the Northwest United States. He also oversees operations of select portfolio companies in that region. Prior to Lynx, Mathew worked for Ernst & Young where he progressed rapidly within the firm, receiving the fastest promotion to management in over twenty years. In that role, he led large, cross-sectional teams across a variety of projects primarily within the energy sector. His projects included financial modeling, financial analysis, due diligence, and Pro-forma accounting advisory for a number of significant financial transactions. In addition to EY, Mathew co-founded Finance for Good, a specialized consulting firm focused on evaluating, measuring, and forecasting the economic impact of social programs. Finance for Good is recognized nationally as a thought leader in the use of social impact bonds, an innovative tool to fund and scale social programs through private investment. FFG was acquired in 2016 by Purpose Capital. Mathew received a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University, where he graduated in the 100th percentile and received the University Senate Medal. He is also a designated Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Accountant and was named a CA Gold Medalist and ICAA Early Achiever. In his spare time, Mathew is an avid skier, recreational soccer player, and frequent world-traveler.
