Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1966. After graduating from the National Defense Academy in 1989, he worked for the JMSDF destroyer. After retiring, he worked for semiconductor manufacturing equipment manufacturer Applied Materials Japan Co., Ltd. and established UBIC (currently FRONTEO) in 2003. Supporting global litigation countermeasures of global companies with technology for big data analysis, and promoting the development and commercialization of artificial intelligence engine "KIBIT" that applies research results of natural language processing and artificial intelligence. Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers in 2007 and listed on the US NASDAQ * in 2013, and expanded the business fields from the founding business of forensic research and international litigation support to business intelligence and healthcare. Later, in-house development of artificial intelligence "Concept Encoder" specialized in healthcare industry (artificial intelligence that digitizes text features using "vectorization of words and documents" among morphological analysis of natural language processing technology) (Released May 2018). Currently, as CEO of FRONTEO Group, he is leading the business development in various fields such as finance, intellectual property, human resources, and medical fields centering on two AIs, KIBIT and Concept Encoder.
