Johannes Bhakdi

Johannes is founding partner of Sophotec VC. Johannes started his career in advertising. After his initial years as Senior Strategy Consultant at JWT, he became Strategy Director of Scholz & Friends, one of the largest European marketing service networks. Johannes moved on to become EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at eChinaCash in Beijing, where he was responsible for building a nationwide marketing network and the development of partnerships between international blue chip companies and Sinopec, China’s largest business entity. Johannes entered Omnicom Group in 2007 as Executive Director at BBDO Consulting with the assignment to create a new business innovation unit. Today he continues to serve in a strategic role within Omnicom Group with Hubble Innovations in Los Angeles. After founding Sophotec VC in 2008, Johannes led the design of startups like Klatcher, EZCoinz and MyCambridgeTutor. With Sophotec Genesis, he is committing his spare free time to turning philosophy into a wisdom technology, and facilitate the development of more productive social, educational and financial infrastructures.
