Carlos Simonsen is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Upload Ventures. Simonsen has over seven years of experience in Private Equity and Investment Banking. His core competencies within Private Equity are growth equity and restructuring. He was instrumental in the Heinz buyout by 3G Capital ($28 Billion transactions) and the merger with Kraft, valued at $89 Billion. He also had an active role in the purchase of SABMiller by AB Inbev, valued at $107 Billion. He founded Corton Capital - a growth equity firm - which was later incorporated into Upload Ventures. At Corton, he led the team that acquired a majority stake of Neoway, which was later sold to B3 for R$1.8Billlion. Also led the investment team in the Series F financing round of Loggi and Series E financing round of Olist. He received a BS in Engineering from Ecole des Mines de Paris and an MSc in Financial Engineering from Columbia University.
