Before joining to lead the New Zealand operations, Duncan was the Chief Executive of WaikatoLink the commercialisation company of the University of Waikato, New Zealand. Duncan has led numerous initiatives including KiwiNet, a consortium of 15 New Zealand research organizations established to facilitate commercialization. Duncan has an interest in the animal health and life science sectors, is the founder of several start-up ventures, and has held directorships with several technology start-ups. Earlier, Duncan spent five years in clinical veterinary practice including leadership roles during the 2001 foot and mouth outbreak in the UK. Duncan is currently a director of Amaroq Therapeutics, Cadmus Animal Health and TamoRx Duncan has a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Massey University.
