As Co-CEO and Co-founder of mu-ray.tech, I'm spearheading the development of Muon Beam Imaging (MBI) technology. This groundbreaking innovation offers rapid, safe, and accurate chemical composition imaging for industrial quality control and medical diagnostics by integrating Laser Plasma Accelerator-based artificial muon sources, advanced particle detectors, and AI. With over five years in deep tech entrepreneurship and two decades in academic research, I bring a robust background in deep tech business development, physics, and data science. My passion for translating cutting-edge science into practical solutions led me to co-found mu-ray.tech in 2025, building on my experience as CSO and Co-founder at GScan and as a senior researcher at KBFI and CERN. My previous work at GScan involved muon tomography using cosmic rays. Now, at mu-ray.tech, we're significantly advancing imaging capabilities with our innovative artificial muon sources. Throughout my academic career, I collaborated with institutions like CERN, DESY, MIT, Cambridge, and Helsinki universities, contributing to significant discoveries such as the Higgs Boson and breakthroughs in dark matter and astroparticle physics. This research has been extensively published. I also have a strong interest in deep tech business, technology, and science communication. I'm proud to contribute to innovation as a member of the Estonian Government's Research and Development Council. At mu-ray.tech, I leverage my scientific expertise and extensive network across business, academia, and technology to develop transformative MBI solutions and business models for the industrial and medical sectors.
