Matt Walters

Matt is the Managing Director of Runway Incubator, San Francisco's premier community for startup, investor and corporate collaboration. Previously, Matt was a Venture Partner at Expansive Ventures, a Principal at Ardent Capital and the founding Head of Business Development and CFO of Topicmarks, a natural language processing company that sold to Tagged, Inc in 2011. Before Topicmarks, Matt was an early employee and acting CFO at Room to Read where he helped the startup scale to operations in 13 countries, featured on Oprah and at Clinton’s Global Initiative along the way. By his departure, Room to Read had established nearly 8,000 libraries across Asia and Africa. Matt is a mentor at the Founder Institute, a former Leadership Fellow at The Wharton School and Princeton in Asia Fellow at Princeton University.
