At IGNIA, Tanya Beja Elias manages the day-to-day relationships with the Fund's Limited Partners and General Partners, handles all internal and external communications, represents IGNIA in impact investing forums, oversees the Fund's measuring and reporting of social impact, and ensures the Fund’s legal compliance. She also focuses on fundraising and on building IGNIA’s strategic partnerships with investors, NGOs and multi-lateral institutions. Prior to joining IGNIA, Beja Elias worked for Compartamos Banco, one of Mexico's largest microfinance banks, in the area of new product development. Beja Elias has also worked for The United Nations Development Fund for Women in topics relating to the inclusion of women in economic development. Prior to that, she worked at NERA Economic Consulting estimating damages arising from infringement of intellectual property and antitrust laws in a variety of sectors including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and consumer goods. Beja Elias holds a degree in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Beja Elias also holds a Masters in Public Policy degree from Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government.
