Martin Ertl

Martin is co-founder and CEO of 8.5x14 Media (http://8.5x14.com) and of LexPublica (http://lexpubli.ca). Previously, Martin co-founded Navarik (http://navarik.com), a software-as-a-service provider to the oil and shipping industry. He negotiated key deals with customers such as Royal Dutch Shell, British Petroleum (BP), Chevron and the government of Venezuela. He continues on the Board of Directors of Navarik. Martin is also a lawyer and practised with Davis LLP (http://davis.ca), a full service national law firm in Canada. He holds a B.Sc. in physics from UBC and law degree with distinction from McGill, and served as Chair of the UBC Alumni Association.
