ED Boland

Ed is an early stage investor focused on emerging technologies out of South Florida and Latin America. Prior to joining Scout Ventures Ed worked with the JP Morgan Private Bank where he advised high net worth individuals, families, and foundations in the areas of investments, credit strategies, financial planning, trusts, wealth transfer, banking, and more. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Ed worked as a newspaper reporter and columnist, a writer and producer for television news, and the outreach director for a Miami-based nonprofit. Ed earned his MBA from the University Florida and his BA in Philosophy from Boston College where he studied abroad in Kenya. Ed is also a member of the Camillus House Board of Directors and a graduate of the Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Miami program. He lives in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami with his wife Cristina and two sons, Charlie and Jamie, where he is a lector at St. Hugh Parish.
