Jorge J. Perez is an attorney in South Florida. Outside of work, Jorge is passionate about his many hobbies. With a love of history and travel, Florida attorney Jorge J. Perez continually strives to expand his knowledge and experience new things. He has traveled to every major continent with the exception of Australia. Among the regions he’s visited, Spain has been the subject of his travels seven different times. With each visit, Jorge visited different areas, experiencing different aspects of culture and cuisine. Attorney Jorge J. Perez’s grandparents lived in Spain before moving to Cuba in the 1920s, making the European country significant to him on a personal and historical level. In Miami, Jorge J. Perez Attorney finds the local food spectacular, especially places that serve Cuban food. He is fond of fine dining, especially when others pay for his meal, and frequents restaurants like Havana Harry’s, La Carreta, and Sergio’s as they are among his favorites. Among his hobbies, particularly his choice of reading materials, is history. If one could obtain a PhD in History Buff, he would have several—although a real PhD in History would be impressive but expensive. Much of his knowledge of history is self-taught. In an interesting irony, he took the Advanced Placement tests for both American and European History while in high school, achieving scores of five on both. This was all the more remarkable given that the high school he attended didn’t even have a European History class. Continuing the irony, he majored in Finance in college but received so many college credits from his AP test grades that he did not take any history courses despite his love of the subject. Among Florida attorney Jorge J. Perez’ favorite eras of history is the ancient Roman world, both the Republic and the subsequent Empire. Jorge agrees, as some historians have noted, that in many ways Rome was the first modern nation state, in its multi-tiered sophistication and great complexity.
