General Partner of Acronym Venture Capital, a NY/Palm Beach VC fund that invests in Late Seed and Series A venture capital financing rounds of software/internet/tech companies. We invest primarily into Enterprise Saas companies, Fintech, Hospitality Tech, Real Estate / PropTech, Workflow Tech, E-commerce, and Omni Channel Consumer Brands. We are focused on unconventional funding rounds and diverse and first time founders across New York City and Secondary Markets As General Partner - New York/Palm Beach, I oversee the day to day activities and operations from evaluating early stage technology companies seeking funding to assisting current portfolio companies with development and interaction with LPs as well as attracting LP capital and development of our network. We leverage our extensive global network of limited partners, accredited angel investors and advisors enabling our portfolio companies access to capital and strategic relationships resulting in partnerships, talent, advisory boards, key customer introductions and leading venture capital firms for follow on funding and ultimately introductions and advice related to buyers for M&A or IPO. Notable past investments include: Superhuman, Daily Harvest, Super Coffee, Domio, Easyknock, Maestro, Nexhealth, Penny, AgentIQ Canary Technologies, Nylas and others. Follow on investors include Eric Schmidt, Peter Thiel, Google Ventures, Founders Fund, tribeca Venture Partners, A16Z, Formation 8, 8VC, Spark Capital, Lightspeed, Greycroft, GGV, Anthos, Skyview, ScaleUp, 3L, Rakuten, Sierra Ventures and others. Joshua began his career as an investment with Citicorp and rose to be the Director Of Market Intelligence at Citicorp Debt Capital Markets. Later he moved on to become Manager Eastern European Banking Systems at Citibank and subsequently was with the Overseas Private Investment Corp (OPIC) a division of the US Government that provides international capital risk protection. Following business school at Georgetown, he worked with multiple startups and tech companies during dot-com 1.0 in New York City. In 2002, Joshua established a successful real-estate business – focusing on Historic Real Estate development through his firm Fantasia Partners. In 2007, after selling the bulk of his real estate holdings close to the top of the market, he became an active angel investor and board advisor in New York with interests in tech, real estate, digital media, consumer products, and luxury lifestyle brands. Mr. Siegel received his BA degree from Boston University in Economics and Business Administration and received his MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in Finance and Entrepreneurship in 2000. He also holds a Degree in Gastronomy from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. Joshua was born and raised in New York City, attended Horace Mann, but not lives with his wife, son and daughter in Palm Beach.
