Kevin is cofounder and General Partner of Focus Ventures. Kevin has been listed on Forbes Magazine's Midas List as a top technology investor for four out of the previous five years. He was most recently ranked 41st on the 2008 Midas List and was previously ranked 36th on the 2007 Midas List. Kevin focuses on investments in the software, semiconductor and communication markets and has led the firm's investments in Active Software (WebMethods),Agile Software, Alteon Websystems (Nortel), Aruba Networks, Commerce One, Com21, Copper Mountain, Pixelworks, Vina and Virtusa, all of which became public companies. In addition, Centrality was acquired by SiRF, DATAllegro was acquired by Microsoft, edocs was acquired by Siebel Systems and Orchestria was acquired by CA. Current investments include Cedar Point, Fanfare, Financial Engines, Kace, Kazeon, LogLogic, Panasas and Sepaton. Prior to cofounding Focus Ventures, Kevin was a Managing Director at Comdisco Ventures, where he was responsible for investments in companies including CommQuest (AT&T), Corsair Communications (Lightbridge), Diamond Lane (Nokia), Extreme Networks, GetThere.com (Sabre), Integrity Q/A (Pure Atria), Intraware, Netro (SR Telecom), Power Integrations, SalesLogix (Sage), and Virata (Globespan). From 1986 to 1994 Kevin was a General Partner at Dominion Ventures, a venture capital firm. Some of his successful information technology investments were Capstone, Efficient Networks (Siemens), MMC Networks (AMCC), Nanogen, Red Brick Systems (Informix), Talarian (Tibco), Tessera, Tivoli Systems (IBM), Transwitch, and Xylan (Alcatel). Kevin became involved in the investment industry as a Director of Investments for Equitec Financial Group and was responsible for several investments including Chips & Technologies (Intel) and Cirrus Logic. Additional investments have included Infinera, ONI Systems (Cienna), PlaceWare (Microsoft), RightPoint (E.piphany), Stratacom (Cisco), and Volterra.
