Murtaza leads global engineering and operations at ThousandEyes. He brings 20 years of engineering leadership, software development and innovation experience across startups and hyper-scale giants. He has built products ground-up in personalization, advertising, e-commerce, pricing, and defense domains. Before the current role, he was the site lead for AWS DynamoDB in Palo Alto where he led multiple teams focussed on Edge Engineering, API Management, Global Tables (Cross Region Replication) and Developer Experience for DynamoDB. Before moving to Bay Area, he worked at PROS based in Houston which filed IPO in 2007, where he built pricing & deal management software. He served as adjunct faculty at the University of Houston Clear Lake, where he taught undergraduate courses in Computer Science and mentored over 30 masters level projects. Murtaza has demonstrated the ability to innovate and has multiple patents in his name. He has a track record of incubating ideas for new products and services and bringing these ideas to fruition. Murtaza has experience in building and managing software development teams from the ground up, while actively contributing to the product development and taking it to market. He understands the importance of building relationships in the workplace and can balance engineering and business needs.
