James Cornell

James “Jamie” Cornell is a Managing Partner and Founder of Fiduciary Wealth Partners. In addition, Jamie is the Chair of the New England chapter of Tiger 21, a peer-to-peer learning network for high net worth investors. Tiger 21 has over 300 members that collectively manage approximately $30 billion in investable assets. Prior to co-founding Fiduciary Wealth Partners, James spent approximately four years as Managing Director of The Bollard Group, which was recognized as one of the top 50 SEC registered advisors and among the top 25 largest multi-family offices in the U.S. Before the Bollard group, Jamie held many senior leadership roles at leading wealth and asset management firms, including serving as President of Fidelity Investments Private Wealth Management and President of Fidelity’s Personal Trust Company. While at Fidelity, he led the design and development of Fidelity’s portfolio and financial planning tools. Jamie is an active board member of for-profit companies and not-for-profit organizations including Segterra, Covestor, Clearbrook Capital, Resolute Ventures, The Nature Conservancy, The Outward Bound, Newport Art Museum, UNC – Chapel Hill, Rhode Island School of Design and The Profile Club. Jamie is a Certified Investment Management Analyst, Certified Hedge Fund Professional and is a candidate for Chartered Alternative Investment Management Analyst. He is also a member of the Investment Management Consultant’s Association, the Boston Security Analyst Society, and has held the FINRA Series 63, 65, 7 and 24 licenses. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended Harvard Business School on a Fidelity sponsored executive MBA program. He won the Fidelity Innovation Challenge for the best new business idea and is an active mentor to UNC Kenan-Flagler business school students, Morehead-Cain Scholars and Kauffman Global scholars. Jamie lives in the Back Bay of Boston with his fiancée Stephanie Dodson. Together they have six children, whom Fiduciary Wealth Partners views as full partners.
