Alex Sharata

Alex Sharata is a Managing Partner of A-Level Capital, a Baltimore-based venture capital firm investing in Johns Hopkins founders who are building capital-efficient, asset-light, scalable businesses. Through A-Level, Alex has worked with enterprise software, consumer, Internet, hardware, healthcare IT, biotech, and medical device startups across multiple stages from pre-seed through series A. To date, A-Level has made 27 investments and has had 2 portfolio monetizations. Alex is also a Co-Founder of Fractal Technology, a mobile application security and compliance automation startup, which was acquired in 2017. In addition to A-Level and Fractal, Alex has held positions in software engineering, venture capital, and investment banking. Alex is also an Ambassador for Sequoia Capital and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University where he studied computer science and economics.
