A technologist and investor with a background in online technologies, by 2030 Tej Kohli hopes to make a major contribution to the number one United Nations sustainable development goal of ending poverty everywhere by curing at least 300,000 people of blindness. In his commercial life, Tej Kohli is a technologist, entrepreneur and investor. Through his Kohli Ventures investment vehicle Tej Kohli focuses on control-orientated equity investments in exponential growth opportunities that are derived from the chain reaction of rapid technological progression in the fields of AI, robotics, biotechnology, and esports. Tej Kohli also make private market investments through Kohli Ventures into pre-IPO technology, IP and blockchain companies. Tej Kohli is also owner of the Zibel Real Estate portfolio. Tej Kohli’s career as an investor started in 2006, when a series of divestments and trade sales from the portfolio of e-commerce and online payments businesses that he had founded since 1999 provided high levels of liquidity for new investments. The multi year earn outs from the sale by Tej Kohli of companies such as Estacion Tramar necessitated a sustained period of making new investments, which culminated in the launch of Kohli Ventures.
