Fernando is the co-founder and General Partner of the Inclimo Climate Tech Fund, where they invest in teams of exceptional people who create systemic change through technology addressing climate change challenges for a more sustainable world. Ph.D. on Life Cycle Analysis & environmental impact and specialized in economic sustainable global development. Prior to Inclimo, he founded and directed GlobalCAD, the audiovisual production company CAD Productions, the Towards the Human City initiative and the Ensurecer Foundation. He is also the editor of the blog Seres Urbanos of Planeta Futuro at El Pais and the Director of the Global Network for the Base of the Pyramid. He has also worked 8 years for United Nations and 5 for PWC on the environmental management department (New York & Barcelona). Through GlobalCAD, he has coordinated more than 100 international cooperation projects for the major international organizations and published more than 50 strategic reports on the effectiveness of cooperation, the climate emergency and innovative models of social entrepreneurship. Author/Editor of several books, such as “The Green Leap towards the inclusive economy”; “The BoP 3.0: Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Sustainable Development”; “We are not ants”; “CSR before the mirror”; “Public-Private Partnerships for Development”; among others. Producer of various social documentaries and actively engaged with education centers and universities promoting capacity building programs for development experts. Ph.D. from the Central University of Barcelona in Economic and Social Sciences, he also holds a master’s degree from Columbia University of New York in Development Economics and Journalism (SIPA). Certified trainer of the World Bank SME Toolkit, accredited trainer of the Partnership Brokers Accreditation Scheme (PBAS) and certified under the GIZ Capacity Works framework.
