Karsten Günther

Karsten Guenther serves as Executive Producer and Head of Innovation at Bavaria Fiction, developing and producing series, movies and filmed entertainment across platforms. Before joining Bavaria Fiction, Karsten held various positions with Germany’s leading digital publisher Axel Springer SE. As Head of Creative Strategy & Business Development he led multiplatform storytelling, creative strategy and content partnerships across all digital media brands. In previous positions at Axel Springer SE, he was responsible for identifying trends and opportunities in digital content and monetization in the US and established BILD Digital's content studio as a consultant. Karsten is a graduate of the University of Television and Film Munich. In 2014, he was awarded the "Transmedia Prize" at the Munich Film Festival for his cross-media entertainment concept on the subject of moral courage. During this time, he worked in the series development department of Lionsgate Entertainment in the USA.
