Jean-François Cochy

Jean-François is a Director at Cathay Innovation, based in Paris. He is responsible for screening, evaluating, and executing potential Cathay Innovation investments, as well as post-investment monitoring. Prior to joining Cathay Innovation at its inception in 2015, Jean-François was an Associate of Cathay Capital Private Equity, where he led investments in the ad tech and software spaces. Before Cathay Capital Private Equity in 2014, Jean-François spent three years in investment banking as part of the M&A team of Credit Agricole CIB. During his tenure in both the New York and Paris offices, he was involved in several operations for blue chips and middle-market French and international clients, with a focus on cross-border transactions. Deal sectors covered included e-commerce, media, telecom, renewable energy, agri-food, and mining. Jean-François holds a Master of Science in Management from EMLYON Business School (Lyon, France) and completed an exchange program at the National Sun Yat-Sen University (Kaohsiung, Taiwan).
