John Kaweske

John Kaweske has been working in the biotechnology sector for decades. He spent nearly 20 years as a Managing Director within the investment banking departments of various firms like Cardinal Capital Management, Inc and Grace Investments. He was responsible for reviewing startup companies within biotech for potential investment, formulating business plans for start-up companies, and funding start-up, early stage and growth companies. He participated on the Board of Directors of several companies and closed a number of successful M&A transactions. He then went on to create his own biodiesel company, Bio Clean Energy S.A., in Brazil. When founding Bio Clean Energy, John successfully negotiated and closed Venture Capital funding from a premier fund in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He also negotiated and closed loans with four banks in Brazil for capital expenditures and working capital. Simultaneously, he strategically planned all aspects of the company from site selection to production and financial management. Today, he is still the final decision maker for all corporate procedures. John Kaweske also consults for various clients to help them efficiently establish and run their own biodiesel facilities. The last 15 years of experience running and operating Bio Clean Energy has given him a wealth of expertise, strategic insight, and technical knowledge, establishing him as a thought leader within his industry and an invaluable resource to his clients and business partners. He continues to work as a consultant in the biodiesel and clean energy industries through his company, Kaweske & Associates. Using his wealth of expertise, strategic insight, and technical knowledge, John helps clients to assess the best overall plan for their biodiesel facility. In addition to his work with Bio Clean Energy, John Kaweske has also found success as an Uber driver. After joining Uber as a driver for a year, John was able to achieve an outstanding 96% rating and drove over 2,000 customers in a nine month period. Based on his overwhelmingly positive experience driving with Uber, John Kaweske decided to open his own company called Silverleaf Enterprises LLC. Silverleaf is a high end luxury car service that operates in Denver, Colorado. John’s ultimate goal with the company is to provide people with a high end, friendly car service. Beyond sustainability ventures, John Kaweske is also involved with the medical cannabis industry. He is the founder of two Colorado-based ventures—North Star Holdings and TweedLeaf. Through TweedLeaf, he recently acquired a patent for a cannabis-tracking system. In his spare time, John Kaweske of Colorado Springs, Colorado enjoys practicing meditation. He began meditating when he first moved to Brazil in 2004, where he found that he spent a lot of time alone. He began meditation, and has continued ever since. John practices for about an hour each day, and finds that it frees him of the pressures of running a business.
