Yakir Gola is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Gopuff. As a freshman at Drexel University, Yakir Gola met co-founder Rafael Ilishayev on the first day of their Business 101 class, and the two went on to start Gopuff a year later. A first-generation American who grew up in an entrepreneurial family, Yakir - along with Rafael - have grown Gopuff into one of the fastest growing tech companies in the U.S. with operations in more than 650 cities, leveraging its network of over 250 micro-fulfillment centers and recently acquired BevMo! stores to fulfill orders of thousands of everyday essentials to customers in 30 minutes. Constantly analyzing the business and industry to identify potential for growth, Yakir’s data-driven approach to business and strategic insights motivate and drive the company forward. Yakir, along with Rafael, was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in the Retail & Ecommerce category in 2017, in 2019 received the Drexel University Founders Award and in 2020, Gopuff was named to CNBC’s Disruptor 50. Yakir is closely involved with Chabad serving Drexel University and spearheads many of Gopuff’s philanthropic efforts, including recent $1 million matching donation for the Boys & Girls Clubs COVID-19 Relief Funds.
