Sid Mewara is managing partner and Chief Investment Officer at CUI where he heads all investments & portfolio at CUI. A graduate of the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Sid has worked as a management and strategy consultant and investment banker for the last decade in China and Hong Kong. As Founder & CEO of SGC a management consulting & capital advisory in China and APAC, Sid has built, managed and lead teams of experienced professionals that have advised private equity firms, multinationals and SME's on various projects including market entry into China and Asia, corporate and portfolio restructuring, business process & operations optimization, specializing in implementing lean manufacturing for cost downs and margins improvement initiatives. Sid has also has devised growth strategy for start-ups and new product/services strategy for multinationals in/out going from China. Sid then created SG Capital from the capital & financial services division of SG Consulting to offer clients investment banking and capital advisory services. He advised clients in raising capital from private equity and venture capital and actively assisted family offices and private equity firms on cross border investments and is very active on cross border M&A deals including setting up JV's, consolidation buyouts and strategic acquisitions. SG Capital has been merged with Capital Union Investment as of September 2015 Sid sits on various advsiory and management boards of portfolio companies in China and US.
