David Steakley is an investor in real estate and private equity in Houston. David was a partner at the consulting firm Accenture, focusing on clients in the financial services industry. After leaving Accenture, where he worked for 19 years, David found himself running a small non-profit private school for academically gifted students, Rainard School, as a volunteer member of the school's board of directors. David has been an active member of the Houston Angel Network for the past two years, and is currently managing a portfolio of approximately 20 private equity stakes for himself and a small private equity fund run by his company, Thiwtlig Management, and is involved in a number of real estate ventures. David serves on the boards of the Vender Safe, Pervino, Salient Pharmaceuticals and RSET, and is a governing trustee of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and is on the board of directors of the Houston Angel Network. David graduated from Williams College in 1983 with bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and American Studies. He and his wife have four children, and he spends a lot of time camping in cow pastures with his son’s boy scout troop.
