Mr Waserstein is currently the Managing Partner and Founder of SOIL Funds Management - an investment firm targeting investment opportunities in sustainable businesses. He was previously the Director of Investments and Partner at I2BF Global Ventures, a $400M AUM private investment manager with an international investment mandate. While there, he was responsible for the entire investment process from sourcing to post-investment management. During his tenure at I2BF, Mr. Waserstein led investments in Primus Power and GMZ Energy as well as follow-on rounds and assistance with Epuramat, Nesscap Energy, and Primafuel. He was the Chairman at Solix Biosystems and also held board seats at Prism Solar Technologies, Scifiniti, Nordic Windpower, and GMZ Energy. From 2012 to 2013, Mr Waserstein was the interim CEO at Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. where he led the commercialization of Prism's unique all-glass solar panels. Prior to I2BF, Mr Waserstein was the founder and Managing Director of High Water Mark Advisors. HWMA was a consultancy group offering value-add research on public and private securities in technology and energy and was the culmination of more than a decade of investment research and management. Areas of expertise include network security, software, solar, and biofuels. In 2007, Mr Waserstein began his investment career in energy and sustainability at Hudson Clean Energy Partners, a private equity fund with $1.024B AUM. Primary responsibilities included industry research, investment sourcing and diligence, transaction support, and financial modeling. While there, Mr Waserstein was focused on the solar, wind, and biofuels industries. From 2002 to 2004, Mr Waserstein was a Vice President at Tomato Music Works Limited, a privately owned independent record label, where he assisted with the transition to digital distribution. From 2001 to 2002, he was the co-founder and Managing Director of Anvanta Systems. Focused on off-shore software services, Anvanta had development offices in Kiev, Ukraine and a sales group in New York City. The company developed one of the first web- enabled geo-coding systems.
