Sam Lessin is a co-founder and General Partner at Slow Ventures, a generalist early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco and Boston. As a generalist VC, he seeded—or was among the first investors in—a wide range of companies, from Venmo, MakerBot, and Birchbox to Airtable, Teamshares, and Sublime Security. In the crypto world, Sam was personally an early Bitcoin investor and a seed investor in Ripple Labs. For Slow, he was among the original seed investors in Solana, Algorand, Fold, Lightning Labs, Klaytn, and Aleo. Before Slow, Sam was one of the early VPs of Product at Facebook, where he founded the Identity product group. He has also founded two companies: drop.io (acquired by Facebook in 2010) and Fin Analytics.
