Thomas Willenborg

Thomas S. Willenborg is an entrepreneur, investor, and former CEO with extensive experience in fintech, payments, and scaling digital businesses. As CEO of Datatrans AG, he led the company through a high-growth phase, expanding its market position and driving its acquisition by Planet. He also spearheaded the development of PCI Proxy, transforming it into a globally recognized fintech and compliance solution. Currently, he focuses on investing in and advising startups, particularly in fintech, SaaS, and digital transformation. He is a Limited Partner at āltitude, a pan-European SME Tech VC fund, and an angel investor in 1-CP, a fintech innovating B2B payments. Thomas holds degrees in International Finance & Accounting and International Business and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School.
