Alex McWhirter

Alex McWhirter is Chief Executive of Finance Yorkshire, the £90m fund for growing businesses across Yorkshire and the Humber. Alex works closely with the Finance Yorkshire Board and Fund Managers to provide much needed investment to SME's across Yorkshire and the Humber region, as well as developing further access to finance and business support services for businesses. Alex has been Assistant Director of Business at Yorkshire Forward since 2001. During that time Alex has been responsible for Access to Finance, which includes Finance and Investment Readiness initiatives, Grant for Business Investment, Grant for Research and Development, the Rural Development Programme for England.
