DJ Patil is the Chief Data Scientist at White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Previously, he worked as the VP of Product at [RelateIQ](/organization/relateiq) and [Greylock Partners](/organization/greylock) as Chief Data Scientist, [Color Labs](/organization/color-labs) as Chief Product Officer, [LinkedIn](/organization/linkedin) as Chief Scientist and Chief Security Officer, and [eBay](/organization/ebay) as their Director of Strategy, Analytics, and Product. Prior to that he focused on National Security issues on Counter Terrorism and Bioweapons Proliferation Prevention. In the academic community he is best known for his work in numerical weather prediction.
