Richard Osborn

Richard Is the Managing Partner of RecapHealth Ventures. Richard founded RecapHealth to help drive scale innovation and social impact in public and private health care organizations in Canada and beyond. Prior to founding RecapHealth Richard was a partner in an international mid market private equity firm; a co-founder of a technology focused venture capital firm operating in Canada and Silicon Valley and earlier in his career managed venture capital investments for two Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) funds. Over his career Richard has led investments in more than 30 companies in transactions representing over $500 Million in invested capital. In addition Richard has been a software entrepreneur and more recently led turnarounds in two health focused companies as interim President and COO. Richard is a frequent speaker on financial innovation and has been named one of Vancouver’s Top 40 under 40. He is the founder of one of Canada’s first social impact funds, BC Social Venture Partners (www.bcsvp.com), acts as advisor to an international micro-finance fund, a leading US health incubator and a number of private and public health initiatives. 
 Richard has business degrees from UBC and Queens University.
