Food industry consultant to CPG startups and import brands/commodities. From growing North American awareness, distribution, and velocities for Australian cracker and condiment brand Valley Produce Co. (VPC), to most recently serving in dual-roles as EVP (US) and VP of Marketing (US) for Loacker, the global category leader in wafer confections (sweet biscuits - Euromonitor), Crystal Black-Davis has directed strategy, commercialization, compliance, and communications for global food brands for over fifteen years. A high-impact and connected CPG strategist, Crystal has led strategy and growth for global and domestic brands at all levels of market maturity. Crystal launched and led the marketing organization for the US division of Loacker, the Italian-based, global category leader in wafers confections. As EVP / VP of Marketing for Loacker, she successfully led the overall business unit strategy and marketing direction with full P&L accountability. In that leadership role, she defined domestic brand, channel, and communications strategy; ensured FDA compliance, and led innovation in alignment with global marketing, to grow consumer awareness, gain points of distribution, exceed expected velocities, and lead new product development designed to drive incremental growth within the category.  As a career and pastime, Crystal has high respect for the history, lore, and anthropology of global food culture.
