Nelson is co-founder of (beta) startup launch Non-Profit Funding Blockchain, Fuundr.io at https://fuundr.io Nelson Wells co-founded Technology Startup incubator FourAthens, at https://athensmade.com/mission-and-history Nelson has invested in the following Tech companies through the AthensAngelFund.com: He founded Team Clermont and teamclermont.com in 1997 as an independent radio promotion division of his PR firm with partner Jimmy McLean. In 2001, Wells expanded the company to incorporate a full service traditional media department. Nelson and his team were the first Music PR company to officially service a full list of music blogs in 2004. Wells currently manages his firm in Athens with 50% shareholder partner, Bill Benson. Nelson was introduced to Bitcoin in 2011 at the launch of his tech startup incubator, Four Athens, in Athens, Georgia. He sold his first startup company at the age of 21. Nelson earned his BS in marketing and business administration from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, Athens Georgia. Wells runs his Publicity & PR firm and his other companies in his home town of Athens, Georgia. Nelson is a father and dad to twin daughters who he teaches surfing, swimming, diving, soccer, kindness and love. Nelson is also a civil rights activist and a defender of women's rights, the rights of the LGBTQ community and has, for over 20 years, served on boards and/or donated to and supported groups who defend social justice and liberties for all minority groups especially those being oppressed. He personally fights for civil liberties of all minority groups. Some charitable organizations and civil rights groups Nelson Wells has been involved with or contributed to include The ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union, Community Connection, Habitat For Humanity, Project Safe, sheltering women and children and protecting women from sexist or domestic violence or sexism in the workplace; Nuci's space- protecting the lives of artists and supporting suicide prevention among artists and the Arts in Athens, Georgia; Lukas' Fund - Helping Mothers and infants who find themselves in hospital NICU units; Also, The Jeanette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund which helps underprivileged women gain education and defend against sexism in education.
