Choon Chong TAY

Choon Chong has 20 years of experience in equity investment and corporation management. He is the founder of Vertex Ventures China and leads the team to invest in almost 100 high-growth startups. He is an experienced investor-operator in the China market and has overseen the exits of many famous startups, including 91 Wireless, iGG, mobike, Changba, 73 hours, Chipscreen Biosciences, Harbour Biomed, etc. Under his leadership, the Company has grown to be a well-known VC in China with an international perspective and a strong organizational culture built on Chinese principles. Before joining Vertex Ventures, Choon Chong was a Senior Vice President of Government Investment Corporation (GIC) and was running the aerospace component division of Singapore Technologies Engineering. He started his career as an aerospace system engineer in Singapore Technologies Aerospace.
