As serial entrepreneur Robbert Jan enjoys developing disruptive data companies for stodgy old industries. Robbert Jan has in depth personal experience in online marketing, corporate sales, and private equity deal making. On his way to Holland Startup, Robbert Jan co-founded two companies Spotney.com (2012) an European Big Data E-Mail Publisher and E2Ma (2002), an European leader in Online Lead Generation. Being an European leader in Online Lead Generation ensured significant private equity buyout appetite, for E2Ma, in late 2007. Followed by an extensive roadshow (strategic buyers and numerous well known private equity firms in Frankfurt, Berlin, Paris, London and New York), that was affected by the economic crisis in 2008/2009. As the architect behind Holland Startup, he now fulfills his personal ambition: "to help entrepreneurs reach their highest potential and purpose in life". For the past two years Robbert Jan has focused on connecting to all key players in the Dutch startup ecosystem and built, through partnerships, a network of accredited investors who have either invested directly in the fund or expressed interest in providing various other support to its investee companies. Robbert Jan is a dealmaker pur sang. His career began (1998) in the online media & gaming industry where he was "first hire" of online gaming company Gamegate.com, before discovering his calling as internet entrepreneur. As to educational background, Robbert Jan graduated from HZ University of Applied Sciences and holds a bachelor's degree in business engineering.
