Greg Tarr Founding Partner CrossPacific Capital, Founding Board Member-Glympse, Board Observer-Axiata Digital, Investment Committee-Axiata Group and Board Member-Fathom. He was Interim CSO/Advisor Automatic Labs (acquired-SiriusXM), Board Observer-Jibe Mobile (acquired-Google), VP/GM Asia-Networks in Motion (acquired-TCS), Seed Investor/Board Member: Admobius (acquired-Lotame), Shanghai based Linktone (Nasdaq-IPO- 2004) and Smartpay (acquired-Ping An Insurance) Prior to CrossPacific, Greg worked in venture capital at RVP where he created the original strategic plan draft for Rogers Communications new $150m VC Fund and sourced the Payfone investment. Prior to RVP, he launched Globe Telecom's Silicon Valley VC operations where he sourced Amobee which led to Singtel's $321m Amobee M+A, was Senior Advisor to Sumitomo's Silicon Valley VC fund, architected Vodafone's China VC Strategy and developed CDP Capital's Greater China VC/PE strategy. He has unique domain knowledge, Global Fortune 500 C level customer relationships and startup operating experience across automotive, customer experience, enterprise, big data, commerce, social, local, mobile, geo and security. Startup Leadership roles where Greg was recruited by Kleiner Perkins include Advisory Board's of Pelago (acquired by Groupon), Movius and as Kodiak Networks VP/GM Asia/Japan. Reuters ranked Greg a top Asian Tech Research Analyst at Deutsche Bank Asia covering software, internet and telecom equipment. Previously, he worked at Toyota’s U.S. HQ, MTV/Music Television during startup mode and Disney/ABC's flagship New York radio station. Greg has lived/worked for 13 years in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Sweden, Canada and is a native New Yorker. He holds an MBA- Pepperdine University, BA- University of Colorado-Boulder and attended Bronx H.S. of Science.
