Born in 1973, Andrew Blount grew up in a single-wide trailer. At age 6, Andrew taught himself how to write computer software. By age 8, he started High Altitude Software developing software for the Radio Shack TRS-80 color computer, including database applications, games, and utilities. In 2000, Andrew was the data scientist/engineer (20% owner) who developed YieldStar Revenue Management, inventing the supply and demand algorithm for the Multi-Family industry's first, most widely used revenue management pricing model. In 2002, Andrew developed Portfolio, the industry’s first business intelligence software for multi-family owners and managers, selling it to RealPage, Inc. in June 2002.
