Luis Roberto Marinelli

Luis is a highly analytical and goal-driven professional, focused on finding simple and innovative solutions to complex problems. With a strong background in Corporate Finance, Data Analytics and Business Strategy, Luis worked in the Financial Services Industry for more than 10 years in which he served in key positions such as CFO in Grupo GuatePrenda/Maxiefectivo (GPMX) and Head of Corporate Risk in BAM (Grupo Bancolombia), two of the most important lending institutions in the region. During his time in GPMX, Luis led a complex turnaround for a Corporation with more than 50 companies in 4 countries, resulting on an EBITDA growth of 250%+. Subsequently, he had a key role on the sale of the company to EZCORP (NASDAQ: EZPW). After some time pursuing new adventures, Luis co-founded Vana, a high-growth FinTech with the mission of providing access to financial services to the unbanked and underbanked population in LATAM. Luis holds a CPA and Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship from Universidad Francisco Marroquín and completed his Executive Master in Business Analytics from ESADE. He also holds a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst certification (FMVA®) from the Corporate Finance Institute and multiple certifications on Data Science, Data Analytics and Data Visualization.
