Dave is the founding product lead for Google Photos. Previously, David was CEO and co-founder of Bump. Bump let users physically bump mobile phones together to exchange contact information, photos and more. Bump was one of the most-popular apps of all time, with more than 150M downloads worldwide. Bump was funded by YC, SV Angel / Ron Conway, Sequoia, Ram Shriram, and a16z and was acquired by Google in September 2013. http://bu.mp Bump also created Flock, an early background app that inferred photo sharing intent based on mobile sensor data and social signals. http://theflockapp.com Previously, David designed algorithms at Texas Instruments, where he helped develop digital display devices for projectors and large-screen televisions. Prior to TI, David taught robotic vehicles to see, learn, and drive themselves while a research assistant in the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab under Sebastian Thrun and the Graphics Lab under Marc Levoy. David holds a masters in EE/CS from Stanford and an undergraduate degree in EE/CS from Princeton, where he also pitched on the baseball team.
